MCC Artificial Baseball Field

A new and improved Baseball Field allows for games to be scheduled in early spring and late fall and is aligned with the caliber of the MCC baseball program.

In 2011, the Monroe Community College Association expressed the need to investigate the possibility of constructing a new artificial turf baseball field. Parrone Engineering’s notable experience in athletic field design in the Greater Rochester area, specifically for MCC, made the firm a natural fit for this project.

Since it’s inception over 40 years ago, the MCC baseball program has developed a reputation of excellence including four NJCAA Division I World Series titles. The original baseball field was constructed in 1962 and since that time had developed many drainage and grading issues. The upgraded field addressed concerns with safety, maintenance and aesthetics providing a facility that one would expect from a top-notch program. Parrone provided preliminary plans, cost feasibility and final designs for the artificial turf field, new dugouts, scoreboard, fencing, the grandstand, the press box, and provisions for future lighting.
